GiproKommunEnergo will prepare the program of energy efficiency improvement for a city in Ural

Giprokommunenergo has been selected as the general contract partner on preparing the integrated energy efficiency improvement program of the city of Kamensk-Uralskiy of Sverdlovsk region. Kamensk-Uralskiy is the first among the cities of Sverdlovsk region to commence realizing the energy saving and energy efficiency improvement program for 2010-2015. The pilot project has been initiated by the mayor Mikhail Astakhov, management of IES-Holding and TMK. The idea has received complee support from the gouvernor Alexander Misharin.
On January 21, the ordering party and developers of the project have gathered in the facilities of the city’s administration and have been introduced to the chief engineers and technical managers of energy suppliers, officers of managing companies and municipal institutions, and the main goals and objectives of the project were announced.
Mikhail Astakhov, the city mayor, has pointed out that currently the city has a unique opportunity to invest into public utilities complex the private investors and federal budget funds, and to implement the energy saving technologies and therefore resolve the years-old problems including conflicts with generators, losses of heat energy and consumer costs.
— Kazan, Tiumen, Vorkuta and Apatity follo this trend. Our city is the fifth on this list. The primary goal is to gather the trustworthy information on the condition of energy supply system of Kamensk-Uralskiy and to analyze it in the most operative manner. As soon as we understand how much heat the city produces, how much of it is actually lost and where these losses are concentrated, then will we be able to plan the measures on energy saving in the right way, - stated the mayor.
Igor Golubev, Chief Executive Officer of GiproKommunEnergo Center of Energy Efficient Solutions Research Center, has stated that the goal of developers of the program includes not only the inspection of energy and public utilities objects, but also determining the key indicators of energy efficiency managmeent. These rates can include, for example, the share of public utilities expenses of every family, the rate of budget “energy load” etc. The program will contain not only the evaluation of current situation, but also the maximally precise set of materials for actual activity.
